Donny Hathaway was an influential American soul and R&B singer, songwriter, and musician. Born in Chicago in 1945, Hathaway rose to prominence in the 1970s with his distinctive voice and emotive delivery. He collaborated with Roberta Flack on several successful duets, including the timeless hit 'Where Is the Love.' Hathaway's solo work, such as 'The Ghetto' and 'Someday We'll All Be Free,' showcased his powerful vocals and socially conscious lyrics. Tragically, Hathaway's life was cut short when he passed away in 1979 at the age of 33. Despite his untimely death, his music continues to inspire and resonate with audiences around the world.
