Everything But The Girl, often abbreviated as EBTG, is a British musical duo formed in 1982 in Hull, England, consisting of Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt. The band's name, inspired by a Turner's Furniture advertising slogan, reflects their eclectic approach to music, blending elements of jazz, folk, and pop. Their early work was marked by a jazzy and somewhat melancholic style, but they achieved mainstream success in the 1990s with a shift towards electronic music.
