Oasis, the quintessential Britpop band, emerged from Manchester, England, in 1991, quickly becoming one of the most influential and controversial bands of the 1990s and early 2000s. Founded by the ever-contentious Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, their raw blend of rock and roll bravado, melodic genius, and lyrical prowess catapulted them to global fame. Their debut album, 'Definitely Maybe' (1994), broke records as the fastest-selling debut album in the UK at the time, setting the stage for their meteoric rise. The follow-up, '(What's the Story) Morning Glory?'
