Romy Madley Croft, known mononymously as Romy, is an English singer, songwriter, and guitarist, best recognized as a co-founder and member of the London-based indie pop band The xx. Born on February 18, 1989, in Wandsworth, London, Romy's musical journey began at an early age, leading her to form The xx in 2005 with childhood friends Oliver Sim and Jamie xx.
