Imperiet was a Swedish rock band formed in 1983 by Joakim Thåström and Christian Falk. The band was known for their politically charged lyrics and a sound that blended punk rock with elements of new wave and pop. Imperiet released several successful albums, including the critically acclaimed "Blå himlen blues" and "Synd". The band disbanded in 1988, but their influence on Swedish rock music continues to be felt to this day.
